| Renewables payments increase |

| Ofgem has announced that the government's financial incentives for renewable projects, The Feed-in Tariff (FiT) and the Renewables Heat Incentive for commercial installations (RHI), have increased in line with the Retail Price Index (RPI) for 2011. As of 1 April 2012 FiTs, and RHI related payments have increased by 4.8% and for the FiT, both the generation and export tariffs will also increase by 4.8%. |

| Higher Feed-in-Tariff payments after government appeal fails |

| The government has lost its appeal to cut subsidies for solar PV early. Member who installed solar panels after the 12 December cut-off date and before 3 March will now be eligible for the previous, higher Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) of 43p per kWh of energy generated, which was cut to 21p at just six weeks’ notice. |
