Latest livestock news at East Anglian conference « Back

All the latest news for livestock farmers will be delivered at a one-day conference being held by Anglia Farmers on 7th October at Honingham Thorpe, Colton near Norwich.

Chaired by Bungay dairy farmer Tom Crawford, six speakers will deliver ruminant information ranging from politics (Baroness Shepherd) to cost-effective animal feed from bioethanol bi-products (Richard Cross, KW Trident). Overcoming wormer resistance, which is common in sheep and increasingly so in cattle, will be addressed as will the latest news on milk quotas delivered by industry guru Ian Potter.

“This is our second livestock conference,” said Simon Leach, livestock manager at purchasing group Anglia Farmers. “It will be hugely informative and we are confident that everyone will go away with some practical and beneficial information to implement. Thanks to our sponsors, Genus ABS, we have been able to keep the cost of attendance at a very reasonable level.”

Tickets for the full day including refreshments and lunch, cost £23 per head and are available from Helen Bibby, helen.bibby@angliafarmers.co.uk or call 01603 881803.
