The new online invoicing system initiated by Anglia Farmers with First4Farming and Farmplan is proving popular with members. More than 80 have signed up to the facility with others joining every week.

The system allows members to view invoices online rather than receive them by post, and enable the electronic transfer of this information into Farmplan Business Manager; thus reducing the amount of time spent manually keying data directly into Farmplan.

Alex Morton, commercial projects co-ordinator at Anglia Farmers, said:

“We are really pleased with the uptake of the online facility and are well on our way to achieving our target of 150 member setups by December this year. We recommend the system to members even if they are not Farmplan users as this gives us useful feedback for further developments. For example, we now have an additional function for members to save a copy of their invoices to their PC.”

Anglia Farmers member Julian Swift from Belchamp Farm Services, who contract farms for ten different businesses and has been using the system now for six months, said:

“Anglia Farmers Online allows us to access our own account and also the other ten Anglia Farmers accounts that we contract farm as well as the farmers themselves when required.

“The system is simple to use, flexible for all the businesses that we deal with and enables us to see the original invoice online, saving all the paperwork through the post; a reduction of 50%. AF online has streamlined our business and revolutionised our office. We really feel we’re ahead of the game!”
