Anglia Woodfuels welcomes the news that a grant fund of £50,000 has been earmarked for woodfuel boiler installations in Norfolk.
The one-off grant fund is being administered on behalf of Norfolk County Council by Woodfuel East, - a new initiative, hosted by the Forestry Commission East of England and designed to support the woodfuel supply chain.
Grants can be awarded towards the installation of wood fuelled heating boilers using logs, wood pellets or wood chip, for properties in Norfolk.
The grant can provide a contribution of 40% of total eligible costs per property, up to a maximum contribution of £5000. The grant is competitive and Woodfuel East has a total budget of £50,000. Grant applications must be received by the deadline of 1st June 2009.
Further information on the grant is available for the Woodfuel East website www.woodfueleast.org.uk, or by contacting Sid Cooper on 01223 773065.
“This is good news for our members,” said Alex Morton, commercial projects manager at Anglia Farmers who manages Anglia Woodfuels. “It supports our objective to facilitate every element of the woodfuel supply chain and initiatives such as this, which encourage the end-use market, are key for woodland owners, contractors and woodchip processors.”
